This is a safe space for women who are currently pregnant or have recently given birth to ask questions, share struggles and receive real answers and support. Pregnancy, birth and being a new mom can be really hard. Change happens in almost every aspect of a new moms life and the more we talk, connect and support each other, the easier this transformation can be.

Grab your partner and join Certified Childbirth Educator Amy V. Haas, BCCE in learning the important information and steps toward a healthy, positive birth experience. Topics covered include: How to be healthy and low risk, Choosing a care provider and birth place, Creating a birth plan, Childbirth Education classes, Interventions, Communications, Doulas, A baby plan, & Breastfeeding.

Yoga For Menopause

Saturday, March 7th; 12-2pm

This class is a combination of yoga movement, medication, self excavation, along with self expression. This class is designed for perimenopausal and menopausal women, looking to move through this next phase of life with grace, acceptance and self-love. 

Foundations of Nutrition

Tuesdays 5:30-6:30pm; 2/25-3/31

During this 60 minute class Kimberly will discuss the basics of nutrition and the importance of it in everyday life. Kimberly is a mother of three that has made it her goal to share the importance of whole food nutrition along with simple strategies that can be useful even in the busiest of schedules. You will leave this workshop feeling empowered, informed and ready to make some healthy choices!

Postpartum Care Plan Class

Sunday, March 15th 2-3:30pm

In this class we are going to explore who you might want to have on speed dial and who you might want to just know when it comes to your postpartum recovery.  We will discuss how to best utilize well meaning relatives and friends, and who the professionals are. The Fourth Trimester is a time to do MORE than just survive, it is a TIME to THRIVE. Let me teach you how to build your village so you feel fully supported.

Baby-Wearing 101

Friday, April 24th 6:30-7:30pm

 Babywearing 101, taught by babywearing lover, Certified Birth Doula in training, and Registered Yoga Teacher Lindsay Dooley. When Lindsay’s son was two weeks old, one of her friends came home for the weekend to meet her baby and give her a babywearing tutorial. Lindsay wants to provide that same service to all who want it!

Babywearing helped immeasurably with Lindsay’s Postpartum Anxiety, and made for a comfortable fourth trimester for both her and her son. The art of babywearing has a rich history and many benefits for the birthing parent, the non-birthing parent, and newborn. Lindsay continues to babywear her now-toddler (when he allows), and wants to share evidence based information and experiences with you!

Breathe to the Beat

Wednesdays 4"30-5:15pm Begins April 13th

An accessible, inclusive  music and yoga class for children ages 6-12 with varying developmental needs. Class is designed to increase focus, build relaxation skills and develop body awareness, Register with Spectrum Creative Arts. 

Spring Walking Meditation

Saturday, March 28th 3-4:30pm

Join Linda for an Early Spring walk in Irondequoit! Lets get back out in the fresh air after a long winter hibernation. Our afternoon will begin with meditation and then a mindful walk along the Genesee trail. We will stop periodically for yoga where we will ground ourselves to the sights and sounds around us. No yoga experience required. Bring a smile and open heart.
What to wear: No yoga mat is needed. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing that allows for movement.
Where to meet: We will gather at Flower City Yoga on Culver Road.

Postpartum Connection

Tuesdays 5:30-6:45pm beginning April 14th

Tuesdays, 5:30-6:45pm, Starts 4/14
A therapeutic group offering education and support for women in the postpartum period
Our group provides a safe and supportive space for women in the first 2 years postpartum, to come together to explore and process the changes that come along with parenting and motherhood.
Our group incorporates education about the transition into motherhood and postpartum depression and anxiety with positive coping strategies, exploration of your pregnancy and postpartum experiences, and processing challenges of parenting.
Babies welcome.

6 Week Group, $200 for 6 week session
Dates are as follows:
4/14, 4/21, 4/28, 5/5, 5/12, 5/19
